The film Ali, The Goat and Ibrahim director Sherif El Bendary. It's a road movie through the so-called three seas of the country: Alexandria and the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Sinai with Cairo in the Nile; It is not a sea but this is considered by the Egyptians.

The movie had the official passage to the 13th Dubai International Film Festival. The protagonist is Nada, a beautiful and peaceful goat.

The film begins with a close-up of a large pink teddy bear. It is carried on the shoulders of Ali, a bizarre and cheerful boy. Ali enters in a colorful machine.

Stopped by the police, the policemen began a meticulous examination for the drug. An officer starts skinning with a dagger of the poor bear; he suspected the presence of drugs inside. The cruelty against the puppet leaves everyone stunned: "Why teddy bear were banned after the revolution?"

The cute teddy bear he had nothing to hide, it was just Ali's gift for his girlfriend Nada, because today it is her birthday. However, there is a small problem, Nada is a goat.

Ali keeps her at home, he cuddles her, they sleep together, and he talks with her. This love creates a lot of derision, quarrels with his mother.

Ibrahim lives in the same street, he is a sound engineer, and also he has a personal difficulty. He has a hypersensitivity to the reception of noise, which the causes of deep malaise reactions: collapses shocked, panicked, in a trance, when he perceives them. He lives with his grandfather deaf-mute.

The two boys meet in a sorcerer's house. He gives him three stones to throw in the three seas of Egypt.

Here begins the road movie, the two boys and the animal.

On the way they have many dramatic events and others funny happening, as when Ibrahim left a letter with the intention to commit suicide.

"How can you call absurd the story of the stones if you say that you are engaged to a goat?" And two boys will throw all three stones.

The finish is surreal, but with a reliable and secure message: "We are all animals."

The Egypt trip is beautiful. The photography is clear and bright as the two solar boys. Light is a fundamental element of the shots, in the frame there are few subjects or objects.

The director is very smart, show the bitter taste behind laughing, smiling, sarcastic story.

How can an ordinary guy handsome young man to love a goat? But why should we not believe him? Similarly how can we doubt Ibrahim - specializing in collecting sounds - of his lonely perception of a particular sound? How can we deny it?

So the director studies all the attention on the goat and it makes us smile but at the same time does not make us forget the suffering.

The author follows the goat. The goat - the fate - it helps them by saving from a terrible crash car.

"Nada is in our herts." The two actors are brilliant in their characters; Ahmed Magdy is very sensitive and deep in is role.

Ali Sobhy is wonderful in showing love to Nada goat. He is a very fantastic street artist, with accentuated real gestures.

Great movie for great authors. All of us must love a goat. World would be better.
